Further to our recent update (see Lakeside Group become official Mutoh reseller), we are pleased to announce the appointment of Danny Raines as Technical Manager responsible for the delivery of our new TrafficJet Service Support Packages.

The digital print revolution is a significant change in the traffic sign industry, and whilst there are many benefits to digital printing, there is also a commitment to ongoing maintenance to ensure efficiency and performance of the printer. In order to support our TrafficJet customers and ensure they get the best from their equipment we are the first reflective supplier to invest in our own in-house engineer to provide maintenance, offer technical support and carry out preventative measures to minimise printer downtime.

On his appointment at Lakeside Group Danny said “Having worked in the digital print industry for over 20 years to be joining a growing company such as Lakeside Group is an exciting point in my career. Having had a taste of things to come over the last few months I can’t wait to start working more closely with our customer base in order to help them get the best from their system.”

Danny will be responsible for delivering two support package options to our TrafficJet customers in mainland UK. Our Gold Support package is a monthly subscription which covers as many call outs as required as well as travel expenses, labour costs and a preventative monthly maintenance visit. Our Silver Support package is a fixed cost per call out, including travel expenses and the first two hours’ labour. Neither of our support packages have fixed terms meaning either can be cancelled at any time and customers choosing either Gold or Silver support will also benefit from unlimited telephone support direct with Danny. Scott Horne, Managing Director of Lakeside Group said “The TrafficJet has been a great asset to our business in the UK with more than 20 printers sold since its introduction in 2014. It hasn’t all been plain sailing though, the digital revolution in the traffic sign industry has, at times, been quite a challenge as it is so different from traditional sign manufacturing methods. All digital printers require a steady flow of maintenance in order to keep them running smoothly. This was the catalyst to us taking the decision to step up and invest in this side of our business with the addition of our own engineer, Danny Raines. Danny has huge experience in the digital print arena and using this experience we can help customers maintain printers properly in order to drastically reduce downtime. It’s an exciting time, with the introduction of the new Avery Dennison TrafficJet Xpert and the all new TrafficJet Pro UV printer (the faster printer available today!), we believe we are streets ahead of our competition in terms of hardware and support.”
