Subject: Coronavirus update

Date: 25th March 2020

As we enter into further movement sanctions, our focus continues to be on the safety of our employees, customers and suppliers – this means we need to adapt to the current situation and this affects the way our business is operating.

Most of our products are supplied into the Emergency Services & Road Safety sectors, so we will endeavour to continue to be able to ship products, albeit on a limited scale in order to maintain the safety of our employees.

We hope the situation will improve, but for now, please bear with us if you are waiting for products – however, we hope you won’t see any delays.

 Stay safe!

Dear Customer,

The situation around COVID-19 in Europe is continuing to develop.  As you might expect, we are taking additional steps to protect our staff and customers.

We understand that you might want to know what measures we are taking to prevent or minimise impacts, and if we expect any potential impact regarding the supply of materials.

The following is an overview of the current situation and actions being taken:

• We are continuing to monitor advice from the World Health Organisation and Government regarding COVID-19 developments and to proactively manage any necessary preventative measures.

All production sites in Europe are still running with no disruption – including our manufacturer’s factories in Belgium and The Netherlands.

Our Lakeside Group office remains open, but only a skeleton staff will be operating at the office and warehouse as a result of new social distancing measures in the UK.  Many of our staff are working remotely under the recommendations set by the UK Government. We urge people to refrain from visiting the office currently, but we encourage customers and visitors to call or email us.

With immediate effect, we have also asked our field sales representative to refrain from traveling. The team will, of course, be available by phone, email or video conference.

In general, we are limiting travel strictly to business-critical requirements.

We are in contact with our raw material suppliers to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis. There is no disruption at present and based on the current situation we expect to maintain usual supply levels.

As things stand, our operation is working as usual, and we are doing everything practicable to manage the situation and to avoid negative impacts or potential risks. Updates will follow if circumstances change further.

If you have any further questions, please contact us on 08452938062 or email info@lakesidegroup.co.uk

With very best wishes,

Scott Horne

Managing Director
